
In the early hours of yesterday Tuesday, the executive Chairman of Iteswaju local government hon. Ojo Monsuru Olayemi inaugurated the legislative arm of the council.

Recalled that few weeks ago, oyoparrot.com had reported the crisis that emanated during the inauguration of all the ten councilors elected in Itesiwaju local government during the last local government election, where there seems to be triction in the election of house leadership.

It was revealed then that one part of the leaders of the party is against the possibility of a particular winner for the office of leader of the house while the other part of the leader who are majority of the councilors insist on election of the house leadership through secret ballot in which those the party kicked against election through ballot voting.

This medium gathered then that in a bid to elect the house leadership there are many political interests and manipulation which lead to rancor and imbroglio among party leaders.
It was also gathered that leaders and stakeholders forced the council chairman Hon. Ojo Monsuru to put on hold the house leadership election process till further notice.
In what seems to be a win win for all the warring parties in the local government control battle the council legislative has now elected their principal officers.
The house elected Mutairu Saliu Adisa as house leader while Omofoye Johnson Itanola was elected as deputy leader. Hon. Adebayo Musa Olawale Majority leader of the house as Adediran Adeseun Samuel elected as chief whip while Adeyemo Khadijat Nike as Deputy chief whip.
Similarly, the executive Chairman of the council has also appointed Wale Ogunlade as Chief of Staff.
The legislative arm after their inauguration pledge to work tirelessly with the executive Chairman to bring dividend of democracy to the good people of Iteswaju local government in the foot steps of governor Seyi.
