OMOLE BOWS OUT OF POLYTECHNIC IBADAN SERVICE

The Deputy Registrar of the office of the Rector, Mrs Elizabeth Adebunmi Omole retired from the services of The Polytechnic, Ibadan on Thursday, 11th July 2024 after 31 years of meritorious service and mandatory retirement age of 65 years.
  In a farewell ceremony organized by the staff of the Rectory department held at The Polytechnic, Ibadan Board of Studies Chamber, Mrs Omole appreciated the authorities for the opportunity given her to serve the Institution.
 The Acting Rector, Dr Taiwo Abideen Lasisi, colleagues, staff, friends, family members and corps Members gathered to honor and celebrate with the retiree who has served the Institution with diligence and commitment for 31 years.
 Omole, who obtained Bachelor of Education from University of Ife, Ile-Ife and Master of Education from Obafemi Awolowo University ( former University of Ife), Ile-Ife was a pillar of support and professionalism within the Institution. Her contributions to The Polytechnic, Ibadan are evident through the effective management of the various positions she held during her service.
  During her farewell speech, Mrs Omole expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in The Polytechnic, Ibadan and shared memories of her time in the Institution. Colleagues and well wishers praised Mrs Omole for her professionalism, integrity and the legacy she left behind.
 Omole who once acted as Registrar of the Institution, was born into the Osuntoogun family of Esuawele compound of Oroanyan, Ibadan South-east local government on 11th July, 1959 started working at The Polytechnic, Ibadan as Assistant Registrar in the Junior Staff Establishment in 1993. She rose through the ranks to attain the position of Deputy Registrar, Senior Staff Establishment in 2007. She was later posted to the Rectory department in 2014 where she eventually retired as the Deputy Registrar, Rectory.
She was a member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and other social groups. The Deputy Rector of the Institution, Mrs Olaide Salawu, the Acting Registrar, Mr Joseph Adewumi Ogunjimi, the Acting Bursar, Mr David Olubukola Taiwo and other management and senior officers of the Institution attended the ceremony. She is happily married and blessed with children.
