As part of his administration focal points, the Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government, Hon Wahab Adetunji WABKEM, yesterday in his office held a security meeting with farmers stakeholders and the Bororo’s people commuting in the Atiba Council Area.

The meeting centered on taking
a proactive approach in curbing farmers and Fulani herdmen crisis in the council area, thereby eradicating food insecurity ravaging the nation.

The stakeholders meeting has in attendance the farmers association team led by Pa W.O Jimoh, the Bororo stakeholders, Atiba LG Agro rangers commander Officer Julius, and Atiba LG Amotekun Commander Amoo Yussuf Kudefon.

Also in the peace meeting were the Secretary to the council Hon. Oyeyemi Oyelami and the Chief of Staff to Atiba LG Chairman, Hon. Saheed Babalola
Hon Wahab Adetunji, in his address to the people, expresses his happiness for the support and corporations of all and sundry and appeals for further cooperation from various stakeholders in the community. He assures his administration of determination on various governmental interventions and welfare
“Our administration is centered on ensuring that food security is assured through aggressive efforts towards developing and investing in agriculture, and with the readiness of various communities to cohabitate peacefully, I can authoritatively say that Atiba Local Government would become the hub for food production to the entire state at large” Hon Wahab Adetunji emphasized.
“Atiba Local Government is majorly dependent on an Agrarian Economy and this is a major boost. Our Principal, the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr Seyi Makinde, has directed us to ensure sustainable food production, which the State Government is fully ready to support. Be rest assured that this step will leave a positive impact and future generations will be proud of it. We can assure you that we will not relent until we take Atiba Local Government to the peak where it belongs “.
Similarly, the chairman used the medium to inform all the Fulanis and Bororo’s practicing their legitimate farming to register officially at the Atiba LG agric department
