The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had arraigned a former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Adoza Bello before Justice Maryanne Anenih of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court, Maitama, Abuja.
He was arraigned alongside Umar Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, on a 16-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and money laundering to the tune of N110.4billion.
The Former Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello while addressing press men after his trial recently in an Abuja court said he’s ready to shock the world.
He said many people will go down with him should President Tinubu continue to use EFCC to deal with him; in his words; “If I am jailed, I will reveal to the world how you became president. I will expose the number of people you eliminated, and I will stop the flow of oil,” Yahaya Bello warns Tinubu.
During a court session, Yahaya Bello alleged that he contributed ₦7 billion to Tinubu’s 2023 presidential campaign. He claimed that the funds in question are part of the money the EFCC is pursuing him for and stated that if he is jailed, Tinubu should also face justice.
