The Atiba Hall in Oyo town was filled to capacity as members and supporters of Team Olopoeyan from across the Oyo Zone converged for a crucial zonal meeting that underscored the group’s growing influence and continued commitment to political mobilization in the state.
The meeting, which brought together stakeholders from the four local government areas in the Oyo Zone, was presided over by the Zonal Leader, Alhaji Musbau Olayiwola.
In his opening address, Alhaji Olayiwola emphasized the significance of unity and grassroots engagement in the group’s mission to contribute meaningfully to the development of Oyo State.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Great Leader, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan, Mr. Ademola Oke lauded members for their loyalty and dedication. He reiterated the leader’s unwavering commitment to the vision of a united and progressive political front.
The event was moderated by Prince Rilwan Afolabi, a respected team leader in the zone, who guided the session with decorum and ensured productive deliberations.
A powerful delegation from Ibadan, representing Alhaji Olopoeyan, was also in attendance. Among the emissaries were Mr. John Adejumo, Mr. Ademola Oke, Alhaji Musa Babajide, Mrs. Tayo Olamilekan, and Mrs. Toyosi Suara. One of the key highlights of the gathering was the reaffirmation of Team Olopoeyan’s full support for Governor Seyi Makinde. Speakers at the meeting praised the longstanding cordial relationship between the Governor and Alhaji Olopoeyan and urged members to remain steadfast as the group anticipates formal integration into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
