A transformative milestone has been achieved in Oyedeji as the Lagelu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) commenced the foundation laying for its permanent secretariat, a project set to redefine local governance and service delivery. Leading the charge were Hon. Kamorudeen Mudashiru, Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel, Chairman of the Oyo Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Olayinka Sodiq, the Vice Chairman of Lagelu Local Government and Political Head of Lagelu North LCDA, alongside key traditional rulers in Oyedeji community.
The groundbreaking event, held on Monday, marks a crucial step toward establishing a dedicated administrative hub for Lagelu North LCDA. The new secretariat promises to enhance operational efficiency, improve coordination, and provide a modern workspace for staff, addressing long-standing administrative challenges.

Hon. Kamorudeen, in his address, hailed the project as a cornerstone of progress. “Today, we lay the foundation for a stronger, more accessible government in Lagelu North LCDA,” he said. “This secretariat will empower us to serve our people better and drive sustainable development.”

A highlight of the event was the stirring statement by Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel, whose words resonated deeply. “Our watchword in Lagelu is to make good history,” he proclaimed passionately. “This secretariat is more than a building—it’s a legacy of progress, a testament to our commitment to leave a positive mark for generations to come.”
Sharing the spotlight was Hon. Olayinka Sodiq, Vice Chairman of Lagelu Local Government and the Political Head of Lagelu North LCDA. Speaking passionately, he declared, “This secretariat is a dream realized for Lagelu North. As Political Head, I am dedicated to ensuring this project becomes a beacon of efficient governance and a catalyst for community development.”
Dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, Hon. Raji Sodiq, Councilors, Supervisory Councilors, staffs, traditional rulers and community leaders.
