Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, the Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde and his wife, Engineer (Mrs.) Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom, respectively.
The titles were bestowed by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, in recognition of the couple’s exceptional leadership, moral character, and enduring service to humanity, particularly in the Southwest region.

In a statement released by the Head of Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Hon. Falana described the conferment as a “well-deserved honour” that reflects not only the values Governor Makinde embodies but also the positive impact they have made beyond the borders of Oyo State.

“Governor Makinde has remained a symbol of progressive governance, youth inclusion, and integrity, while Her Excellency, the First Lady, continues to inspire through her commitment to women and children’s welfare,” said Falana. “This recognition from the Akure Kingdom is a powerful endorsement of their Omoluabi ethos, a rare blend of wisdom, humility, and selfless service.”
Adebowale, who leads several youth-oriented initiatives courtesy of the State Governor, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, emphasized the importance of such traditional titles in bridging cultural heritage with contemporary leadership, noting that the governor’s continuous advocacy for education, innovation, and empowerment resonates strongly with the ideals of the Yoruba traditional institution.
He urged Nigerian youths to draw inspiration from leaders like Governor Makinde, whose lives exemplify honour, discipline, and purpose.
“As the Aare and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure, their legacies are now etched not only in governance but in cultural memory,” he added. “I congratulate them and wish them continued strength, wisdom, and grace in their leadership journey.”
The chieftaincy ceremony attracted dignitaries from across the country and the diaspora, symbolizing the deep respect and pan-Yoruba unity that Governor Makinde and his wife continue to foster.
