The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Egbeda Local Government Area on Saturday successfully conducted its ward congresses across all eleven wards, in what has been described as a peaceful and transparent exercise.
The congress, held at Bishop Philip Academy School, attracted party stakeholders, loyalists, and faithfuls who gathered to elect new executives to steer the affairs of the party at the grassroots level.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda LGA, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to strengthening and uniting the PDP across Oyo State and Nigeria. He also praised party leaders and members for their support and cooperation, which he said made the congress a success.

“The ward congress is a testament to the strength and unity within our party. The new executives have a vital role to play in fostering cohesion and ensuring that the PDP remains a formidable force in Egbeda,” Hon. Sanda said.
Observers and stakeholders at the event hailed the congress as not only peaceful but also a demonstration of the party’s growing internal democracy. They applauded the leadership of Governor Makinde and Hon. Sanda for their role in sustaining party unity and guiding the congress to a successful conclusion.
The newly elected ward executives are expected to drive the PDP’s grassroots agenda, mobilize support, and strengthen the party’s structure ahead of future political engagements.
