The Federal lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akin Alabi, has lauded the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, for his remarkable contributions to grassroots development.
Alabi gave the commendation while speaking at an Islamic programme organized by the League of Imams in Egbeda Local Government.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker praised Sanda, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for his visible achievements since assuming office, describing him as a leader whose performance transcends political differences.
Despite belonging to different political parties, Alabi noted that he shares a long-standing relationship with Sanda, anchored on mutual respect and a shared vision for the growth of the constituency.
According to him, Nigerians are gradually shifting focus from partisan politics to quality leadership. He cited the last general election—where voters supported the APC at the federal level while overwhelmingly electing the PDP in Oyo State—as clear evidence that competence and performance now weigh more than party affiliation.
He therefore urged Chairman Sanda to sustain his developmental strides and remain committed to people-oriented governance that reflects the aspirations of Egbeda residents.
