The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area has successfully concluded its local congress, producing Hon. Adeyemi James Oyeleke as the new party chairman.
The exercise, widely adjudged peaceful and well-organized, was credited to the strategic leadership of Hon. Ojo Oluwaseun, whose guidance was described as pivotal in uniting party members and strengthening internal democracy within the council area.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Oyeleke pledged to consolidate the gains recorded under Oluwaseun’s stewardship while working closely with other executives to reposition the party for greater electoral success. He expressed gratitude to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for laying a strong political foundation, and to Hon. Ojo Makanjuola SMATO for his tireless contributions to the growth of the Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency.
Hon. Oyeleke further expressed optimism that the PDP will record overwhelming victories in the 2027 general elections, stressing that unity, loyalty, and grassroots mobilization remain key to the party’s continued relevance.
