The Honourable Member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Akintunde Emmanuel Olajide (AKT), has lauded the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, popularly known as Lajue, for his remarkable stewardship and people-oriented style of governance.
AKT described Hon. Sanda as a true man of the people, whose humility and commitment to service continue to bring tangible benefits to residents of Egbeda. He particularly commended the recent distribution of 70,000 exercise books to pupils across 77 primary schools in the local government, noting that the intervention not only addresses pressing educational needs but also provides much-needed relief for parents.
The lawmaker, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, said the initiative marks the third visible project undertaken by Hon. Sanda, underscoring his consistency in delivering developmental programmes at the grassroots.
“Hon. Sanda has once again demonstrated that true governance is about impact at the grassroots. His dedication is a model for leadership, and I encourage others in public service to emulate this example,” AKT said.
He reaffirmed his support for policies and initiatives that prioritise the welfare of the people, stressing that sustainable development is only possible through leaders who are committed to service above self.
