Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele Remodels Six-Classroom Block at Community High School, Osegere — Reaffirms Commitment to Educational Development in Egbeda

In another bold stride toward strengthening education in Egbeda Local Government, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has completed the remodeling and renovation of a block of six (6) classrooms at Community High School, Osegere, in Ward 8 of the council area.

The project, which also includes the renovation of the school library and the principal’s office, forms part of the chairman’s ongoing efforts to enhance the learning environment and promote quality education across Egbeda Local Government.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Segun Olayiwola, commended Hon. Sanda for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the educational development of his people.

He urged both students and teachers to make effective use of the newly remodeled classrooms, noting that the facility would significantly improve teaching and learning within the school community.

“Hon. Sanda has demonstrated what true grassroots leadership means. This project will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on education in Egbeda,” the Commissioner said.

The Chief Imam and PTA Chairman of Community High School, Osegere, Alhaji Muniru Akinpelu, also expressed profound appreciation to the chairman for his unwavering dedication to improving the school’s learning conditions.

“Your steady commitment to education and the future of our children is both commendable and inspiring. This intervention will greatly enhance the learning experience for current and future generations,” he stated.

Similarly, the school principal, Mrs. Adebayo Tawakalitu Folashade, described the block of classrooms as previously dilapidated and abandoned before the intervention. She thanked Hon. Sanda for his timely response and deep concern for the students and staff.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, emphasized that the project reflects his administration’s dedication to sustainable growth and human capital development.

“By providing a conducive learning environment, we are not only nurturing young minds but also investing in the future of our students, our community, and our nation,” he said.

He further expressed appreciation to Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership and continuous support, while assuring that his administration’s developmental efforts extend beyond education into other critical sectors aimed at improving the lives of Egbeda residents.

“This facility is not just a building—it is a promise; a promise that our children will learn, grow, and achieve in an environment that inspires excellence. I urge teachers and students to take pride in it, make the best use of it, and protect it,” he added.

The event was well attended by dignitaries including the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Segun Olayiwola; Vice Chairman, Egbeda LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo (Simple); Leader of Egbeda Legislative Arm, Hon. Olusola Olakanmi; Chief of Staff, Hon. Ladi Siyanbola; PDP State Youth Leader, Hon. Bello Olalekan; PDP Egbeda LGA Chairman, Chief Ebenezer Olawale Alawe; HLGA, Alhaja Monsurat Alaga, as well as traditional rulers, religious leaders, councilors, supervisors, directors, community leaders, party chieftains, and members of the community.
