Egbeda Local Government has commenced the construction of hydraulic structures, earthworks and asphaltic surfacing of the Agoro Junction to Nigerian Breweries Road in a move aimed at boosting infrastructural development and improving mobility within the area.
The project, being executed by A-B Bond Habitat Limited, is expected to ease traffic congestion, address perennial flooding and significantly enhance the free movement of residents and commercial activities along the corridor.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Oyedele Sikiru, said the project reflects the council’s commitment to delivering durable and people-oriented infrastructure that supports economic growth and improves the quality of life of residents.

He noted that the road expansion complements other ongoing and completed projects in the council area, particularly the recently completed Monatan Junction (beside SAO Filling Station) – Adogba – Ebenezery Road, which has improved connectivity to the Iyana Church–Alakia Road.
Hon. Sanda commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his leadership and continued support for grassroots development, assuring residents that more impactful projects have been lined up to further transform Egbeda Local Government and its communities.
The council maintained that the project forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen infrastructure and stimulate socio-economic activities across the local government area.
