The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has emerged as the most performing council chairman in Oyo State, according to a recent public poll conducted by Ibadan Lawa, a prominent online civic engagement platform.
The poll, which captured the opinions of residents across various local government areas in the state, ranked the Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Akintayo, as the second most performing council chairman.
Also featured prominently in the survey were Hon. Sherrif Adeojo of Ido Local Government and Engr. Akeem Olatunji of Oluyole Local Government, both of whom were commended for their notable contributions to grassroots development and effective administration in their respective councils.
Stakeholders and community leaders, reacting to the outcome of the poll, lauded the chairmen for their commitment to transparent governance, infrastructural development, and improved service delivery at the local level. They noted that the recognition reflects growing public confidence in their leadership and performance.
The Ibadan Lawa survey further highlights the role of accountability, citizen participation, and public feedback in assessing the effectiveness of local government administration in Oyo State, as well as the increasing demand for responsive and people-oriented leadership at the grassroots.
