The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Oyedele Sikiru, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Kukumada/Ogungbade Community Development Association in collaboration with the royal group, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community and infrastructural development.
The award was presented during the community’s annual anniversary celebration, marking a moment of recognition and appreciation for leadership rooted in service, vision and commitment to humanity.
According to the organisers, the honour was conferred on Hon. Sanda in acknowledgement of his remarkable achievements in sustainable development and infrastructural advancement across Egbeda Local Government. They noted that his administration has continued to demonstrate a people-oriented approach, prioritising projects that directly improve the living conditions of residents.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Sanda expressed profound gratitude to the community development association and the royal group for the recognition. He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to sustainable growth, infrastructural expansion and inclusive governance, pledging to continue working tirelessly for the progress and welfare of Egbeda and its people.
The chairman was accompanied by top officials of the local government, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple; the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Chief Mrs. Monsurat Alaga; the Leader of the Egbeda Legislative Arm, Hon. Olusola Olakanmi, as well as other dignitaries.
