The Oyo State Fire Services Agency, Headquarters, on Friday swiftly contained a fire outbreak at Block D5, Ifedapo Estate, Amuloko area of Ibadan, preventing the inferno from spreading to adjoining buildings.
According to the agency, a distress call was received at exactly 2:53 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, alerting the service to a residential building on fire at the location. Firefighters, led by Assistant Chief Fire Superintendent (ACFS) Amoo, were immediately deployed to the scene.
On arrival, the fire crew discovered a six-room bungalow engulfed in flames. The officers promptly swung into action and successfully curtailed the blaze, thereby saving neighbouring properties from being affected.

Following the operation, the Officer-in-Charge delivered a fire safety lecture to residents and sympathisers, stressing the need for prompt reporting of fire emergencies and the importance of providing accurate location details to aid rapid response.
