As an accomplished Engineer, Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde stands out as one of Nigeria’s most brilliant and educated first Ladies. She earned a degree in Petrochemical Engineering in Nigeria, followed by a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas, where she graduated with First Class honors. Mrs. Makinde has set aside her personal ambitions to be a supportive and dedicated wife. She is deeply committed to girl child education and women’s empowerment, and has over the years launched several initiatives to promote these causes.
She has led marches against sexual and gender-based violence, showcasing her genuine commitment to a sane and just society.
