

Egbeda Local Government, under the leadership of Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, successfully hosted its 4th Ramadan Lecture, bringing together Islamic scholars, community leaders, political stakeholders, and residents in a colourful gathering marked by spirituality, unity, and reflection.
The annual lecture provided an opportunity for participants to reflect deeply on the core values of the holy month of Ramadan—peace, compassion, sacrifice, and community development. Attendees were reminded of the importance of responsible leadership, peaceful coexistence, and collective commitment toward building a stronger and more prosperous society.
The event also highlighted the continued commitment of the Oyo State Government, under the pragmatic leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, alongside the Egbeda Local Government administration, to promote religious harmony, moral values, and community engagement through impactful programmes that uplift the people.

Delivering the keynote lecture, Sheikh Habibulah Adekunle Bukhari emphasized practical solutions for promoting peace, strengthening security, and advancing community development. His lecture encouraged residents and leaders alike to embrace dialogue, tolerance, and shared responsibility in fostering a peaceful society.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence and sustainable development within the community.
“As a local government administration, we remain committed to initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence, community development, and social harmony. Our goal is to create an environment where every resident can live safely, conduct their businesses peacefully, and raise their families without fear,” he said.
Hon. Sanda Sikiru further encouraged participants to reflect on the lessons shared during the lecture and work collectively toward building a more peaceful, secure, and progressive Egbeda Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
He also expressed appreciation to the guest lecturer, distinguished guests, and all participants for honoring the invitation and contributing to the success of the event.
