Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka in a press Statement on the Oyo State Gubernatorial Primary Election Results of ADC in Oyo State, held on 22 May 2026, alleges result sheets from 20 out of the 33 local governments in the state were officially released to the Party Chairman-elect, Mr. Afees Adelowo.
The Chairman-elect subsequently distributed these result sheets to all the local governments in Oke Ogun, Ogbomoso, Oyo, and Ibarapa Central Local Government.
However, the remaining result sheets were handed over to unknown persons. These sheets never reached the appropriate local governments in Ibadan, Ibarapa East, and Ibarapa North, where the authentic results were originally collated and domiciled.
As a result, the entries contained in the 13 disputed result sheets are being challenged because they were never delivered to the relevant local governments for verification or authentication. Instead, they appear to have been manufactured for the purpose of electoral fraud.
In every local government where the results are disputed, party officers, agents, and the Local Government Chairmen-elect are prepared to testify and produce the authentic results collated at both ward and local government levels.
This travesty should not be allowed to stand.
Based on the authentic results available, I won 28 out of the 29 local governments where verified results exist, with a margin of about 14,000 votes. Furthermore, the total number of registered party members in the four local governments where we do not currently have alternate results is less than 4,000.
Our party already faces significant challenges, and our collective focus should be on building unity and preparing to win the general election, not undermining the democratic process through manipulated results.
