A physically challenged man, Mr Nureni Tayo, has travelled from Ibarapa area of Oyo State to Oluyole Local Government Area to express his support for the 2027 political ambition of the Executive Chairman of the council, Engr. Akeem Olatunji.

Tayo, who paid a special visit to Olatunji, said his decision to embark on the journey was driven by his appreciation of the administration of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as well as his confidence in the quality of leadership being provided by the Oluyole council chairman.

He also expressed support for the emergence of Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi as Makinde’s preferred successor, describing the development as an indication that the governor was interested in sustaining the achievements of his administration beyond 2027.

Despite his physical challenge, Tayo said he had been able to personally feel the impact of the Makinde administration across Oyo State.

According to him, the governor’s programmes and policies had made a positive difference in the lives of residents, including people living with disabilities.

He prayed for Makinde to succeed in completing his tenure and for the governor’s efforts to produce lasting benefits for the people of the state.

Tayo also commended Olatunji for what he described as his remarkable achievements in Oluyole, saying he had heard positive reports about the council chairman’s leadership and was encouraged to personally identify with his political aspiration.

He did not, however, arrive empty-handed, as he presented campaign materials to demonstrate his support for Olatunji’s political movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Responding, Olatunji expressed appreciation to Tayo for making the journey from Ibarapa to personally identify with him and demonstrate his support.

The council chairman said Tayo’s gesture was particularly significant because it represented a voluntary expression of confidence in his leadership and political aspirations.

As a further gesture of appreciation and encouragement, Olatunji awarded a scholarship to Tayo’s son, Adeniran Stephen, to support his education.

The scholarship announcement elicited excitement from the young Adeniran, who expressed gratitude to Olatunji for the gesture.

Adeniran also prayed for the success of Governor Makinde and Olatunji in their respective political endeavours.
