One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Kano state, Ismaeel Ahmed has stated that APC does not want former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi to come together.
This statement was contained in a post that was shared on the official X handle of Mic On The Podcast on Saturday.
In the post that surfaced online, Ahmed stated that they don’t want Atiku and Peter Obi to merge ahead of the presidential election in 2027. He said it is a threat for the All Progressive Congress if the former governor of Anambra state and the former vice president come together.
He was quoted as saying that;
“God forbid that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi come together. We don’t want them to.
“If you look at the votes of Atiku plus Obi in the 2023 presidential election, we could have easily lost the election if they are put together. It is a threat if they come together!”.
