The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, on Thursday embarked on an inspection tour of the ongoing free holiday coaching centres across the council area.
This was as the Council boss urged students to remain committed to and focused on their studies, stressing that there is no alternative to education as bedrock of greatness in life.

The centres, which were established by the local government to engage students productively during the long vacation, include Muslim Grammar School, Odinjo, Prospect High School, Abanla, Community Secondary School, Jogbin, and Abbey Technical, Olugbemi Road.

Addressing the students during the visit, Olatunji encouraged them to take their education seriously in order to make their parents and family proud in the society.
The LG chairman, who recently bagged outstanding chairman of the year award from the Radio Nigeria, South West Zonal Office, emphasized that academic excellence remains the surest path to future greatness.
“If you remain focused and study hard, you can become great leaders like our Governor, Seyi Makinde,” Olatunji told the enthusiastic students.
The council boss also advised them to cultivate a culture of gratitude and civil obligations by praying for their parents, teachers, Oluyole Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
The students, who warmly received the chairman, expressed appreciation for the free coaching programme, describing it as a laudable initiative that has improved their academic performance and kept them positively engaged during the holidays.
Olatunji however, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to prioritizing education and youth development in line with the sustainable development agenda of governor Seyi Makinde, noting that the initiative was designed to build a solid foundation for the future leaders of the state.
