A mild drama played out at a busy filling station after a fuel attendant refused to sell petrol to a commercial bus driver, leaving passengers confused and irritated.
The unusual incident, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), quickly sparked reactions online as many wondered what could have prompted the attendant’s sudden outburst.

Fuel Attendant Loses Her Cool

According to a witness identified as @florad_xplorer, the driver had calmly driven his bus to the pump and requested fuel. However, the attendant visibly agitated snapped and told him, “Oga, go to the next pump!” in a harsh tone.
Her unexpected reaction drew the attention of nearby customers, who expressed shock at her behaviour. Some passengers inside the bus also voiced their frustration, questioning why she would speak so rudely to the driver when he had done nothing wrong.
The Shocking Twist
Despite the public embarrassment, the driver reportedly stayed calm and didn’t respond to the provocation. His composure surprised everyone until he revealed the reason behind the drama.
According to @florad_xplorer, the driver later disclosed that the attendant was actually his ex-girlfriend, which immediately explained her emotional reaction and the awkward tension at the scene.
“Fuel attendant refused to sell fuel to my bus driver. Angrily, she said, ‘Oga, go to the next pump.’ Everyone was pissed except the driver. Na driver later disclose that she is his ex,” the eyewitness posted, followed by laughing emojis.
Social Media Reactions
The post quickly went viral, with many netizens finding humour in the situation. Some joked that the attendant was still holding onto emotional “fuel,” while others commended the driver for keeping his cool and not letting emotions escalate.
One commenter wrote, “At least he dodged a heated argument literally and emotionally!” while another quipped, “She must have seen her ex and remembered the breakup at full tank price.”
The incident serves as yet another reminder that sometimes, behind everyday public confrontations, there’s a story that’s far more personal than it first appears.
