In a major boost to basic education within Egbeda Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, has flagged off the distribution of 70,000 exercise books to pupils across 77 public primary schools under the council’s Back-to-School Education Support Initiative.
Represented by the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Agbolagade Tobiloba, Hon. Sanda reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving educational standards and ensuring equal access to learning materials for all pupils within the council.
The distribution exercise, which began on Tuesday, saw supervisors and councillors engaging directly with pupils and school administrators to deliver the educational materials.
Addressing the pupils during the event, the Leader of Egbeda Legislative Arm, Hon. Olusola Olakanmi, urged the students to remain dedicated to their studies while upholding discipline, integrity, and academic excellence.
School heads across various public schools commended the council boss for his continued support. One of the headteachers noted, “This is not the first time Hon. Sanda has extended support to our schools. His consistent interventions have greatly improved the learning environment.”
Community leaders and parents also expressed gratitude to the chairman for prioritizing education, pledging their continued support for his administration’s developmental initiatives.
