The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended warm birthday felicitations to a prominent chieftain of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) and renowned philanthropist, Chief Benedict Akika, describing him as “a dependable brother and a rare gift to humanity.”
In a congratulatory message issued through his Head of Media, Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, Hon. Olufade celebrated the Agbaakin Olorunda-Aaba and Mayegun of Akobo for his remarkable contributions to humanity, and steadfast support for the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
According to the council chairman, Chief Akika has consistently distinguished himself as a compassionate leader whose dedication to uplifting the less privileged has earned him widespread admiration across Oyo State and beyond.
“Today, I join your family, friends, political associates, and countless well-wishers in celebrating an extraordinary personality, Chief Benedict Akika.
Beyond politics, he is a wonderful brother whose generosity, humility, and commitment to humanity continue to touch many lives.
“His passion for service and his unwavering dedication to the progress of our party and the success of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration remain truly commendable.
He has become a source of inspiration to many through his selfless sacrifices and remarkable leadership,” Olufade stated.
The chairman particularly applauded Chief Akika’s humanitarian interventions through the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF), noting that the foundation has positively impacted the lives of widows, youths, vulnerable families, and other disadvantaged members of society through various empowerment and welfare programmes.
Hon. Olufade further described the celebrant as a loyal party stalwart and grassroots mobilizer whose commitment to the ideals of the APM has significantly strengthened the party across Oyo State.
