The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP), The Polytechnic, Ibadan Chapter, has congratulated the Rector, Dr. Taiwo Abideen Lasisi, and the newly confirmed Principal Officers of the institution on their confirmation as substantive members of the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan by the Oyo State Government.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Abiodun Abegunde, and the Secretary, Comrade Adigun Ajetola, SSANIP described the confirmation as a well-deserved recognition of competence, integrity, dedication, and exemplary service.
The Association particularly celebrated the confirmation of Dr. Taiwo Abideen Lasisi as Rector, Dr. Olajide Taiwo Sherifat as Registrar, and Mr. Adegbola Abiodun Kolawole as Bursar, alongside other members of the institution’s management team whose appointments have now been made substantive.
According to the Association, the confirmations reflect the confidence reposed in the management team by the Oyo State Government, following their impressive performance while serving in acting capacities.
SSANIP noted that the management had demonstrated visionary leadership, administrative competence, financial prudence, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to institutional growth, academic excellence, and industrial harmony. It added that their collective achievements have strengthened the stability and reputation of the institution, while inspiring confidence among staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders.
The Association further commended the Oyo State Government for recognising merit, experience, and proven leadership in constituting a substantive management team capable of sustaining the institution’s vision and driving its continued development.
“As the confirmed Principal Officers assume their responsibilities in substantive capacities, we pray that Almighty God grants them greater wisdom, sound health, strength, and divine guidance to lead The Polytechnic, Ibadan to greater heights. We are confident that their tenure will usher in greater innovation, infrastructural development, academic excellence, harmonious industrial relations, financial discipline, and sustainable institutional growth,” the statement read.
SSANIP reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership of the Rector and the entire management team, expressing optimism that the institution would continue to record remarkable achievements under their stewardship.
The Association wished Dr. Lasisi, Dr. Sherifat, Mr. Kolawole, and all the newly confirmed Principal Officers a successful, impactful, and rewarding tenure in office.
