The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Alh. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, on Monday joined the global community in celebrating World Teachers’ Day, paying glowing tributes to educators across the council area and reaffirming his administration’s commitment to quality education.
In a statement issued by his office on Monday, the Chairman described teachers as “unsung heroes and true nation builders” whose dedication continues to shape the future of Lagelu and Oyo State at large.

“On this special day set aside to honour the noble teaching profession, I stand in deep appreciation of our hardworking teachers in public and private schools across Lagelu. You are the foundation upon which every other profession rests. Your patience, sacrifice and commitment in moulding young minds remain invaluable,” Hon. Kamorudeen said.

Hon. Kamorudeen concluded by urging parents, traditional rulers, and the entire Lagelu community to continue supporting teachers in their noble assignment, stressing that “a society that fails to honour its teachers mortgages its own future.”
