The Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Monday held a strategic closed-door meeting with all candidates of the party from the South-South region ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The high-level meeting, which brought together APM candidates for Senate, House of Representatives, Governorship and State House of Assembly across the six states of the South-South, took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Addressing the candidates, Engr. Makinde charged them to remain united, disciplined and focused on the party’s core ideology of putting Nigeria First. He said the APM remains the only credible alternative platform ready to Reset Nigeria and restore hope to all Nigerians.
“Our mission is clear: to build a new Nigeria that works for everyone. The South-South is critical to Nigeria’s future and to our victory in 2027. I am impressed by the quality of candidates we have presented from this region — competent, tested and people-driven,” Makinde said.
He emphasized that the APM will run an issue-based campaign centered on economic restructuring, true federalism, youth inclusion, security reform, and total revamp of the oil and gas sector to benefit host communities.
The South-South Zonal Coordinator of the party, who spoke on behalf of the candidates, assured the Presidential Candidate of total loyalty and readiness to deliver the region for APM in the forthcoming elections. He described Makinde as a visionary leader with the capacity, experience and compassion to lead Nigeria.
The meeting also reviewed the party’s mobilization strategy, grassroots engagement, and preparations for the official flag-off of campaigns in the zone.
Party leaders present reaffirmed their commitment to the #ResetNigeria agenda and pledged to work in synergy from the Presidential to State Assembly levels to ensure sweeping victory for APM in the South-South.
