The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji, has expressed warm felicitations to the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Edo, and Delta, Alhaji Dawud Akinola (De-Damak), on the occasion of his birthday anniversary celebration.

The Council boss gave the felicitation in a statement on Saturday, describing him as an accomplished business mogul and a pragmatic Muslim leader.

Olatunji also described the Islamic leader as exemplifying peace, generosity, and spiritual guidance not only within Yoruba land but across the southern region of Nigeria.

He lauded the Aare Musulumi for his unrelenting efforts in promoting religious harmony, socio-economic development, and philanthropic activities that continue to uplift the less privileged.

“On behalf of the government and the good people of Oluyole Local Government, I heartily congratulate our father and spiritual leader, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, on the celebration of another fruitful year.

“Aare Musulumi has remained a pillar of support and a guiding light for the Muslim Ummah and for me and my administration in Oluyole local government indeed. He has always been a guiding light for all who meet him to seek wisdom and direction,” Olatunji said.

He equally praised the celebrant for his contributions to the growth of Islam, unity among religious communities, and his patriotism towards the development of Yoruba land and beyond.

“As a revered Islamic leader, Aare Musulumi has not only led by example in matters of faith but has also consistently demonstrated compassion through his philanthropic works.

“Despite his influence and affluence, his humility and commitment to humanity clearly stand as an inspiration to many,” the LG boss added.

Olatunji prayed for continued health, wisdom, and long life for Alhaji Akinola, urging other leaders and citizens to emulate his selfless lifestyle and unrelenting service to God and humanity.

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has described as fake and fictitious, a statement credited to the Federal Ministry of Education, FME, that this year’s Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, SSCE, has been cancelled.

Speaking in a chat with Vanguard, the Public Relations Officer, Moyo Adesina, said the statement was not only fictitious, but a figment of the imagination of the purveyors of such news item.

She said the marking of the exam scripts were being concluded and the results would be made public soon.

She added that the exam body would come out with a full statement on the matter later today.

She called on the public to disregard it.
