In a renewed commitment to strengthen grassroots security and enhance the operational efficiency of law enforcement agencies, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has handed over a refurbished operational vehicle to the Egbeda Divisional Police Headquarters, Gbagi.
The official presentation, which took place shortly after the Council’s monthly security meeting, underscores the local government’s proactive approach to community safety and crime prevention within Egbeda and its environs.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Hon. Sanda reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering resolve to support security agencies in their mission to protect lives and property.

“This refurbished vehicle will enable our gallant police officers to respond swiftly to distress calls and sustain the ongoing fight against crime. Our administration remains committed to ensuring Egbeda is safe, secure, and conducive for residents and investors alike,” he stated.
Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the command, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Aderanti Alao, expressed profound appreciation to the Council Chairman for what he described as a timely intervention that will significantly enhance mobility and operational capacity.
‘“This donation comes at a most crucial time. It will greatly support our anti-crime efforts and reinforce our capacity to maintain peace and order in the community. We remain grateful to Hon. Sanda for his consistent support to the police,” CSP Alao noted.
He further acknowledged that this was not the first time the Council Chairman would be extending such logistical support to the police, describing Hon. Sanda as a “reliable partner in grassroots security.”
Present at the brief but symbolic event were the Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo (Simple); Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Olusola Olakanmi; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Aworele Temitope; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Siyanbola Adisa; Head of Local Government Administration, Chief (Dr.) Alaga Ayo Monsurat; Acting HLGA, Ajorosun LCDA, Alhaji Ganiyu Babatunde; members of the traditional council; and other senior officials and dignitaries.
