The Oyo State Fire Services Agency on Monday responded to a fire outbreak at Two Tees Nigeria Limited, located in the Yemetu Aladorin area of Ibadan, successfully preventing the incident from escalating.
The emergency call was received at about 2:14 p.m. through a telephone report by a security officer, Mr. Fatoki, who alerted authorities to a fire within the premises.

Firefighters, led by Assistant Chief Fire Superintendent (ACFS) Oyeniyi, were promptly deployed to the scene. Upon arrival, the crew discovered that a room on the first floor of a two-storey commercial building—used as a diagnostic centre—was engulfed in flames and thick smoke.

The officers immediately launched a coordinated firefighting operation, successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building.
No casualties were recorded in the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that the fire was caused by electrical sparks originating from an air conditioning power system.
The agency confirmed that properties worth millions of naira were salvaged during the operation. Firefighters concluded the exercise and returned safely to the station by 3:01 p.m.
Speaking after the incident, the Special Adviser on Fire Service Reform and Chairman of the agency, Moroof Adebayo Akinwande, urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report fire emergencies. He also stressed the importance of installing and maintaining functional fire extinguishers in homes and commercial buildings to curb fires at their early stages.
Residents were further advised to provide accurate information when reporting emergencies and to utilise the agency’s emergency lines for prompt response.
