The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Honourable Kehinde Akande, has joined friends, family, and well-wishers to celebrate Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, the esteemed wife of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as she marks her 54th birthday.
In a congratulatory message released on Tuesday, Hon. Akande described the First Lady as “a woman of substance” whose life reflects strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting communities across Oyo State.
“Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde has been a pillar of hope for women and girls in our state. Through her initiatives in education, entrepreneurship, and vocational training, she has dismantled barriers and created real opportunities for financial independence,” Akande stated.
Hon. Akande also praised Mrs. Makinde’s deep compassion for the less privileged, citing her programs that deliver healthcare services, educational support, hygiene materials, and social welfare to vulnerable families. “Her actions have touched countless lives in Ibadan South West and across the state,” he said.
The IBSWLG Chairman noted the First Lady’s ability to build strong partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector to tackle key challenges. “Her contributions have brought tangible prosperity and well-being to the people of Oyo State,” Akande noted.
“We can say without hesitation that Her Excellency is a mother indeed, a woman of substance who is genuinely passionate about making a positive difference and consistently driving initiatives that make our world better,” he added
