The Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development (AYD), Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, has congratulated members of the newly inaugurated Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Apex Campaign Council for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, describing their appointments as a testament to their competence, loyalty, experience, and unwavering commitment to public service.
The campaign council was inaugurated on Friday by the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to coordinate the party’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election, with Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi flying the party’s flag alongside his running mate, Hon. Open Salawu.
Falana commended the composition of the council, noting that the selection of its members reflects the party’s recognition of individuals who have distinguished themselves through effective leadership, grassroots mobilisation, administrative capacity and meaningful contributions to governance.
He expressed confidence that the calibre of personalities entrusted with the responsibility would provide the strategic leadership required to drive an issue-based campaign capable of inspiring public confidence and strengthening the party’s electoral fortunes.
Equally, Falana applauded the appointment of the Director of the Youth Wing, Hon. Kazim Bolarinwa, a move aimed at enhancing youth participation and mobilising young people across the state in support of the party’s campaign.
Falana described the appointment as a significant step towards deepening youth inclusion in the political process, stressing that young people remain critical stakeholders in the development and democratic advancement of Oyo State.
He urged all members of the campaign council to justify the confidence reposed in them by working with unity, discipline and dedication towards achieving the party’s objectives in the 2027 governorship election.
