

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, has described the consensus Chairmanship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Saheed Abimbola Oladimeji Owonifaari, as “a sincere and committed politician” with the capacity to deliver grassroots development.
Hon. Akande stated this on Tuesday during a congratulatory message to Hon. Owonifaari following his emergence through the party’s consensus arrangement.

He noted that the peaceful process that produced the candidate reflects the unity and maturity within APM across Ibadan, and expressed confidence that Hon. Owonifaari will uphold the ideals of the party at the grassroots.


“He is a sincere and committed politician. I have no doubt that he will represent the people well and work in line with the vision of our party and Governor Seyi Makinde to bring development closer to the people,” Hon. Akande said.
The Ibadan South West Chairman further urged party members in Ibadan South East to close ranks and mobilize massively for APM ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.
According to him, unity among leaders, aspirants and members remains key to retaining governance at the grassroots and sustaining the developmental strides of the current administration in Oyo State.
Hon. Akande also called on residents of Ibadan South East to support Hon. Owonifaari, saying his track record of commitment to community service and loyalty to the party stands him out.
Party leaders, members and supporters from Ibadan South East were present to witness the congratulatory visit, which was marked with prayers and goodwill messages for APM’s victory across the state.
