The Judiciary Arm of the National Association of Oyo Students (NAOS National) has unveiled the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oyo State, Hon. Abiodun Ayodeji Aikomo, Esq., as the Guest Speaker at the forthcoming NAOS Judiciary Summit 2026.
The summit, scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Federal School of Survey, Oyo, will bring together students, legal practitioners, judicial stakeholders, academics, young leaders and members of the public for an extensive conversation on the future of justice administration in Nigeria.
Aikomo’s participation is expected to add significant legal and institutional perspective to the summit, particularly as participants examine the changing relationship between the Judiciary, technology, public confidence and effective justice delivery.
The summit is themed: “Reimagining Nigeria’s Judiciary for the Digital Age, Public Trust and Effective Justice Delivery.”
The organisers said the theme reflects the growing need to examine how Nigeria’s justice system can respond to technological advancement while strengthening accessibility, transparency, accountability and public trust.
As the chief law officer of Oyo State, the Attorney-General occupies a central position in matters relating to law, justice and governance in the state. His appearance at the summit is therefore expected to provide participants with an opportunity to engage with contemporary questions surrounding the administration of justice and the evolving demands of the legal profession.
Beyond the formalities of a conventional conference, the NAOS Judiciary Summit 2026, held in honour of Barr. Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu, is designed as an interactive platform where young Nigerians can engage with critical questions about the justice system and contribute ideas towards its future.
The organisers emphasised that the programme will encourage meaningful conversations between experienced legal practitioners and a new generation of students and emerging professionals, particularly on the implications of digital transformation for courts, legal practice, access to justice and public confidence in judicial institutions.
The summit also seeks to create an avenue for participants to ask difficult questions, share perspectives and explore practical approaches to building a justice system that is more responsive to the needs of citizens.
With the Judiciary increasingly confronted by questions surrounding technological innovation, efficiency, accessibility and public perception, the summit is positioned as an opportunity for students and members of the public to gain deeper insight into the challenges and possibilities confronting Nigeria’s justice system.
