2026/2027 ADMISSION: Poly Ibadan Releases First Batch , Says Forms Still Available

The Polytechnic, Ibadan has released the first batch of admission lists for the 2026/2027 academic session, marking the commencement of admissions into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

The institution, however, assured prospective candidates who are yet to apply that the admission exercise is still ongoing, urging qualified applicants to obtain their admission forms as additional batches of successful candidates will be released in the coming weeks.

Management of the institution stated that the ongoing admission exercise covers its Full-Time, Daily Evening Part-Time and Weekend Part-Time programmes, emphasizing that eligible candidates still have the opportunity to secure admission into any of its 83 accredited academic programmes.

According to the Polytechnic, candidates who meet the admission requirements and complete their applications before the deadline will be considered for subsequent admission lists.

The institution reiterated that candidates seeking admission into the National Diploma Full-Time programmes must have scored at least 100 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), possess the required O’Level credit passes and have chosen The Polytechnic, Ibadan as their first-choice institution or process a change of institution.

For the Daily Evening Part-Time National Diploma programme, applicants are required to have obtained a minimum UTME score of 80 and complete the prescribed application process through the Polytechnic’s admission portal.

The Polytechnic also noted that admission remains open into its newly introduced and accredited programmes, including Mechatronics (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics), Chemical Engineering, Tourism Management Technology, Crime Management, Food Science Technology, Fashion Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Photography, Taxation, Cooperative Economics and Management, Library and Information Science, alongside several other market-driven courses.

Similarly, admission into newly introduced Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes such as Strategic Communication and Media Studies, Film and Multimedia Production, Tourism Management Technology, Metallurgical Technology, Photography, Taxation and Cooperative Economics and Management remains ongoing.

The institution reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality technical and professional education that aligns with global technological advancement and industry demands, urging interested candidates not to wait until the close of admissions before submitting their applications.
