The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Akande, on Monday inspected the newly constructed Executive Chairman’s Office, describing it as a milestone in his administration’s commitment to improving the working environment and service delivery in the council.

Hon. Akande, who toured the facility alongside appointees, council officials, departmental heads and members of the press, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and facilities put in place.

The new office complex, built to modern standards, is designed to provide a more conducive environment for administrative duties, meetings, and reception of stakeholders. It features upgraded offices, a conference room, waiting area, and improved security and ICT infrastructure.

Speaking during the inspection, Hon. Akande said the project was part of his pledge to reposition the local government for effective governance.

“This new office is not just a building. It is a statement that we are ready to work for the people of Ibadan South West with transparency, efficiency and dignity. Our workers and visitors deserve a workspace that reflects the importance of the mandate given to us,” the Chairman said.

He added that the project was completed without abandoning other key areas such as health, education, road rehabilitation and youth empowerment, which remain priorities of his administration.

Council officials who conducted the Chairman round the facility noted that the building was equipped with modern fittings to ease operations and ensure record-keeping and service delivery are digitized.
