The Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government Area, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji WABKEM , has donated operational motorcycles to security agencies in the council area as part of efforts to strengthen safety and security across the local government.

The motorcycles were presented to the Department of State Services (DSS), the Amotekun Corps, and the Hunter Service to enhance their operational capacity and improve rapid response to security concerns within Atiba LGA.

According to the chairman, the initiative is aimed at improving mobility for security operatives, particularly in remote and hard-to-reach communities. He noted that the motorcycles would support routine patrols, enhance intelligence gathering, and ensure quicker response to distress calls, thereby improving overall security coverage in the area.

Hon. Adetunji reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies, stressing that a safe and secure environment is essential for sustainable development and the wellbeing of residents. He urged the benefiting agencies to ensure proper use and maintenance of the motorcycles to guarantee long-term service delivery.

Representatives of the DSS, Amotekun Corps, and the Hunter Service expressed appreciation to the chairman for the timely intervention, describing it as a significant boost to their operational effectiveness. They pledged continued dedication to safeguarding lives and property across Atiba Local Government.
