Former Nigeria President Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo has review the reason he removed his Christian name from his name.
The former president who was present at the ongoing C&S church 100 year conference, review that he deleted the name Mathew from his name since he detect that Mathew was a tax collector in the Bible.
Obasanjo stated that he don’t want to be a tax collector, so he decided to remove the name and refuse to answer anybody that called him Mathew.
Obasanjo narrated a case study of a man who know him when he was a boy and saw him when paid visitation to Mushin area during is tenure as Nigeria president
He stated that the man start calling Mathew, Mathew, Mathew and ran to meet him. He said he tell his security guard to allowed the man to see him. He then explained to the man that when he wanted to call him again he should not be calling him Mathew if he want him to answer.
Obasanjo stated that he prefer calling him Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo than any other name
